Revolutionizing Soil Preparation
Orthman row units pack all the latest precision tillage technology into one rugged package. They are engineered to create ideal soil conditions for maximum yields while minimizing input costs for a successful strip-till seedbed.

Mounting Design
Each row unit utilizes wrap-around parallel linkage mounts with 8" of vertical travel and greaseless bushings for maintaining consistent tillage depth and fertilizer placement across the entire machine. The heavy-duty force-through mounting design and wedge-locking system mounts steel to steel to stand up to the rigors of strip-tillage. 

Trip Linkage
The 1tRIPr strip-tillage tool is available with a shear-bolt protected row unit for use in rock-free soils or an auto-reset style row unit that will trip up and over an obstacle and then reset back into the soil automatically without any operator involvement. 

Depth Band Coulter
The lead 22" depth band coulter easily slices through residue, creating a path for the shank, and features a sealed bearing to conquer the toughest strip-till conditions. The depth band maintains precise tillage depth and on-target fertilizer placement from row to row and features a standard scraper to remove soil buildup in sticky conditions. 

Row Cleaner
Choose from a rigid or floating row cleaner to remove residue from the strip. The rigid row cleaner features 16" notched discs and vertical height pin adjustment and is available on all models. The floating row cleaner uses 13" shark-tooth style blades to remove the toughest residue from the row and features vertical height pin adjustment as well as down pressure adjustment. 

Precision-Till Shank
The 1" x 4" steel precision tillage shank features a patent-pending point that lifts the soil to reduce voids and eliminate yield-robbing compaction from 4" to 11" deep. Shanks can be equipped with liquid or NH3 fertilizer tubes or dry fertilizer boots that adjust independently from the shank to place nutrients right where they’re needed. 

Closing Coulters
Following the precision-till shank, the 18” wavy closing coulters concentrate the soil within the strip for a consistent seedbed from row to row and helps secure fertilizer placed in the strip.  These closing coulters help set the planter row unit up for a smooth ride through the field.

Conditioning Basket
Finishing off the strip-tillage pass is the key to a perfect seedbed.  The 1tRIPr rolling basket features adjustable down pressure to break up any remaining clods and ensure a smooth planter row unit ride.  Choose from a standard straight blade basket, narrow straight blade basket, a concave berm-promoting basket, rubber rollers to firm lighter soils or a crowfoot conditioning basket for moist conditions.

Row Unit Adjustment
The 1tRIPr strip-tillage tool row unit features multiple adjustments so you can fine-tune the machine to match your tilling needs. The row cleaner height, shank depth and closing coulter depth can all be adjusted independently to create the desired strip conditions for your soil type.

3-Point Toolbars

Time-Tested 3-Point Mounted Toolbars with Innovative Strip-Till Row Units
3-point mounted 1tRIPr strip-tillage tools use the time-tested Orthman toolbar with innovative internal hydraulic fold cylinders and in-line boring of the fold hinges for long-term, trouble-free use.

Rigid Models
Rigid models feature a single 7" x 7" toolbar and are available from 4 rows up to 8 rows with spacings ranging from 22" to 40" to meet individual grower needs

Folding Models
Folding models are available from 8 rows up to 18 rows with spacings ranging from 20" to 40" and feature a double 5" x 7" front and 7" x 7" rear frame or double 7" x 7" frame, depending on size.

Hydraulic Fold Cylinder
The innovative internal hydraulic fold cylinder on the Orthman 1tRIPr 3-point toolbar permits a wide range of row spacings and configurations because of the clean toolbar design. In-line boring of the toolbar fold hinges ensures smooth, trouble-free operation during the wing fold process.

Lift-Assist Wheel Package
For 3-point 1tRIPr models, complete lift-assist wheel packages are available for easier raising of the strip-tillage machine. Lift-assist wheel packages can also be equipped with a combo stringer to hitch a planter for one-pass planting or a nurse tank hitch for towing NH3 tanks.

TRU-aPLYr Fertilizer Systems

Maximizing Precision and Efficiency
The TRU-aPLYr dry fertilizer system features dual 6-ton tanks for a 12-ton total capacity of dry fertilizer.  Each hopper features a scale system to accurately track the weight of each hopper individually, weather-tight lids and debris filter screens.  Fertilizer is precisely and accurately applied with an innovative electric-drive metering system, a standard ISOBUS rate controller that integrates with field prescriptions, 4- or 2-section plumbing and a high-performance fan that is designed for higher application rates.

TRU-aPLYR Dry
The TRU-aPLYr dry fertilizer system features dual 6-ton tanks for a 12-ton total capacity of dry fertilizer.  Each hopper features a scale system to accurately track the weight of each hopper individually, weather-tight lids and debris filter screens.  Fertilizer is precisely and accurately applied with an innovative electric-drive metering system, a standard ISOBUS rate controller that integrates with field prescriptions, 4- or 2-section plumbing and a high-performance fan that is designed for higher application rates.

TRU-aPLYr Liquid
The TRU-aPLYr liquid fertilizer system features a 2,000-gallon tank capacity for 3-point mounted 1tRIPr models to apply liquid fertilizer in-row during the strip-tillage pass.  This system can be mounted on 4-row to 16-row 1tRIPr models and can accommodate row spacings from 20” to 40” depending on toolbar size.  For 3-point models, the TRU-aPLYr system undercarriage can be equipped with 46” or 50” tires mounted on single wheels.
