Montag’s GEN 2 metering system has a unique modular design that allows it to be adapted to your needs as your operation changes and evolves for years to come. 

The 2224 GEN 2 model is capable of blending 2 products at different rates from two stainless bins (13 or 16 tons of total capacity).  It also can be configured with up to 24 rows and up to 4 sections.  

The reversible plenum and configurable platform allow for very flexible mounting options.

* GEN 2 2224 requires a large body high flow motor return port, a 3/4″ SCV valve body with 3/4″ high flow coupler and/or teeing together two SCV pressure lines is recommended for optimal performance.

Bin Options The 2224 includes two sealed stainless-steel bins (13 or 16 tons total capacity). 
  • They can be scaled and metered independently (2 products) or “chained” together for 1 product application in the MDRC controller. 
The massive fill area is covered with twin remotely controlled powered lids for easy tendering. 
A full set of screens are included. 

Efficient Hydraulic Design The 2224 uses a Crary fan with an efficient hydraulic design.  Montag recommends using  2 hydraulic SCV’s. 
Built for reliable use in fertilizer and cover crop applications. 
  • Pressure relief protects key hydraulic components like the fan motor seal. 

Air Delivery 
  • Up to twenty-four 2” outlets, easily reconfigured. 
  • Splitters can be added to serve more rows at lower rates. 

Section Control
  • Supports up to 4 sections. 
  • Sections can be added later. 
  • Sections are controlled by hydraulic motors and PWM valves for durability.

Slide-Gates Hydraulic slide-gates allow farmers to segregate the product from the metering augers for easier clean-out and maintenance.
