1124 (13 or 16 Tons) Features & Benefits

The Montag GEN 1 metering technology has been the standard for metering dry fertilizer since the mid 1980’s. 

It is known as a well proven, simple and reliable design built from 300 series stainless steel.

The 1124 is a largest GEN 1 metering system that Montag offers.  This machine uses 4- GEN 1 meters under a mammoth 13-16 ton capacity stainless steel fertilizer bin.    It can be mounted to Montag’s 20 ton cart.

* Requires a large body high flow motor return port, a 3/4″ SCV valve body with 3/4″ high flow coupler and/or teeing together two SCV pressure lines is recommended for optimal performance.

Bin Options The 1124 includes a massive stainless-steel bin (13 or 16 tons total capacity). 
  • The GEN 1 meter technology does not require a sealed bin due to the meter design. 
  • An electronic wirelessly controlled roll-tarp system covers a massive fill area for easy tendering. 
A full set of screens are included. 

Efficient Hydraulic DesignThe 1124 uses a Crary fan with an efficient hydraulic design.  Montag requires using 2 hydraulic SCV’s. 
Built for reliable use in fertilizer applications. 
  • Pressure relief protects key hydraulic components like the fan motor seal. 

Air Delivery 
  • 16, 18, or 24 outlets (2.5”) 
    • Bolt-on GEN 1 meters can be interchanged after factory build to reconfigure row amount. 
  • Splitters can be added to serve more rows at lower rates. 
  • Row-reducer kits can be added to reduce the amount of outlets  

Section Control
  • Supports 1 or 4 sections. 
  • Sections can be added later. 
  • Sections are controlled by hydraulic motors and PWM valves for durability.
