The heavy-duty series of H&S manure spreaders feature a massive unitized welded frame with heavy floor supports, side stakes, and wrap-around steel front corners.
Strong rear main beater side panels are slanted for clearance and wider spread and then welded to the strong 5″ U-channel side members. Compares with any on the market.
The side flares on all H&S heavy-duty manure spreaders are made of 10-gauge g210 culvert grade galvanized steel.
Sides, front panel, and both sides of the rear hydraulic endgate use fiberglass reinforced plywood to provide for easy cleaning and minimal freeze-up.
The plastic-coated plywood floor allows for considerably less torque to move a heavy load.
The drive utilizes the patented H&S two-speed gearbox. Shifting is all done in the enclosed two speed/beater shutoff gearbox.
The 29″ diameter beater has two styles of replaceable beater paddles. Half of the 14 beater paddles are blunt for widespread, and the other half are a sharp ripper-type for cutting and shredding. Beater-side wiper blades are also standard equipment.
The hydraulic endgate features a single cylinder with the hydraulic lines running through a 3″ x 3″ tube under the floor for protection. The upright position of the hydraulic cylinder stroke allows the gate to lift with the least strain at pivot points.
Special cast steel alloy apron idler slides are used instead of idler sprockets, making for years of dependable service.
Adjustment for the main apron is easily made by simply loosening the two side bolts and drawing up the long bolt.
