The feed roller is equipped with aggressive teeth, coupled with down pressure that provide pull-in power and maintain control of the material being fed to help get the job done efficiently.

The Series III hardfaced duplex drum offers durability and convenient maintenance, with the ability to remove and replace single hammers and balance the drum externally.  

With a feed opening of 42-in x 60-in (106.7 cm x 152.4 cm) and robust infeed sidewalls that are double the strength of its predecessor, you can feed whole trees and other large material with less restriction.

Intelligent operation

The intelligent feed system self-monitors the machine's engine speed, makes predictive adjustments and holds the engine at an optimal level, allowing you to spend more time feeding and less time adjusting settings.

Machine damage caused by metal contaminants entering the hammermill can be costly. The Vermeer Damage Defense system helps protect your machine by detecting certain metal contaminants.  

An industry-leading, full-function, wireless remote control lets you adjust machine settings from the cab as conditions change, including control of the infeed settings, engine droop, conveyor height and more.

Ease of maintenance

The grinder's design includes large access shields, ladders, a dropdown platform for engine access, mill access from the front or top, remote grease zerks and drive belt tensioning — optimizing serviceability and minimizing maintenance time.

Optional screen hoist minimizes labor and provides screen flexibility to change them quickly and conveniently. 

Safety

Reduce the quantity and distance of thrown material debris with the Thrown Object Deflector (TOD), strategically placed to reduce interference when loading over-length material.
