ACCURATE METERING SYSTEM

The ST Series uses the field-proven peg roller metering system. This system is known for its extreme accuracy and when compared to auger metering, is less susceptible to plugging, are easier to change and do not grind product. Standard peg rollers can be switched out for optional low-rate rollers when applying small seeded cover crops, micro nutrients and granular herbicides. The 2 or 4-section, hydraulicly driven metering system allows for straight rate application or variable rate and automatic section control using ISOBUS connected to a third-party rate controller.

The peg rollers are equipped with brushes for self-cleaning during operation. Spring loaded gates can be dropped to block product from spilling out while the roller sections snap in and out easily for cleaning and inspection. These features ensure that you can keep your ST metering system clean and achieving accurate application rates.

PATHFINDER CART OPTION

The ST-6 and ST-10 can be mounted on Salford’s self-steering Pathfinder Cart. The 5-link mechanical steering uses the Ackerman steering principal by which the inner wheel turns more sharply than the outer wheel.  This combined with a long hitch allows the cart to mimic the travel of the leading implement with a higher degree of precision. The high clearance axle allows the cart to follow application toolbars in standing crop without causing damage to the rows. Tire options include 380/90R46 173D tires (standard), optional 480/80R46 row crop tires, or optional 800/65R32 flotation tire with axle spacing options from 120-160 inches to match your crop spacing.

HOPPER CONFIGURATIONS TOFIT YOUR OPERATION

The polymer hoppers on the ST Series are durable, corrosion resistant and allow for visual monitoring of product level in the bin. Within the ST Series are 4 hopper configurations; the ST-4 (single 4-ton hopper), the ST-6 (single 6-ton hopper), ST-10 (4-ton and 6-ton dual hopper), and the ST-12 (double 6-ton dual hopper). The dual hopper configuration on the ST-10 and ST-12 drops product from the two separate hoppers into a single funnel which feeds the venturi air stream for the highest possible blending accuracy and efficiency. There is no need to run two sets of air lines to the application unit as all the blending happens right at the metering system.

OUTLET OPTIONS TO FIT A RANGE OF TOOLS

All ST models allow for the option of 8, 12, 16, 18, 20, or 24 outlets. Making it a fit for any tool whether it’s a planter, strip-till bar, harrow, tillage unit, or any other implement. Optional airline splitters can be implemented for wider implements when needed.
