Powerful gas engine

Equipped with a powerful 72.4-hp (54-kW) Deutz® 2.9 L4 gas engine, the chipper boasts a reliable electronic fuel injection (EFI) system for cold-weather starts and superior fuel efficiency compared to carbureted gas engines.

Get more done in the day

Spend less time maintaining with a clutchless PTO system that helps prevent premature wear on the belt drive by only allowing engagement at low idle. 

The BC1000XL comes with a 25-gal (94.6-L) fuel tank that lets you put in more hours before refueling.

Intelligent feeding

The EcoIdle™ engine control system reduces engine speed to a preset lower rpm after one to five minutes of inactivity, saving fuel and reducing jobsite noise. 

SmartFeed, a patented feed-sensing control system, boosts operator productivity and reduces engine strain by monitoring engine rpm and controlling feed rollers.

Safety

The patented bottom feed stop bar is strategically positioned so the operator can strike it to shut off the feed mechanism.
