About H & R AGRI-POWER

History

H & R Implement Co., Inc. was founded in 1959 by Dalton Hancock, and located in Hopkinsville, KY.  The first contract the company held was with Minneapolis-Moline and Oliver.  Mr. Hancock retired in the late seventies when Ross and Brenda Morgan bought the company.  New Holland and Ford contracts were later added.

Agri-Power Inc. was founded in 1990 by Wayne Hunt.  The business began in Hopkinsville, KY by taking over a Case company store.  Kubota and Bush Hog were quickly added.  Agri-Power built and started a new dealership in Russellville, Kentucky in 1992.

H & R Agri-Power was formed in 1993 by the merger of H & R Implement Co., Inc and Agri-Power Inc.  H & R Agri-Power added the Owensboro location in 1994. Then in December 2005 H & R Agri-Power acquired Bickett Equipment in Morganfield, Kentucky. In February 2006 The 5^th location was added by acquiring Ford Richardson INC. of Mayfield. In June 2008 H & R also grew to our 6^th location by acquiring Vergennes Equipment in Vergennes IL.  This acquisition expanded our borders beyond Kentucky.

H & R Agri-Power is a farm and lawn and garden equipment dealership with 6 locations serving Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois.  We sell and support the brands of Case IH, New Holland, Kubota, Kinze, Great Plains, Bush Hog, Woods, Krause, Unverferth, Grasshopper, Vermeer, H & S, Reynolds and Dixie Chopper.  We offer a full line of farm and lawn and garden equipment, both new and pre-owned of all makes and models.  We are consistently ranked among the national leaders for the brands we sell.

We, at H & R Agri-Power are committed to our Agricultural Community.  Our customers are the lifeblood of our  business.  Our goal is to address each of our customer’s needs while focusing on their individual farming operations.  Our sales, service and parts support are the cornerstones on which our business is based. 

We have a qualified sales team consisting of 23 trained salesmen within our 6 locations to serve you.  We have teamed up with CNH Capital to offer a wide variety of financing options for your convenience.

We strive to provide the best service and parts network available to you when you need them.  Currently, we have $4.4 Million of parts in stock.  If a part has been requested 3 times, we’ll stock it and we will continue to stock it as long as it has been ordered at least once in 18 months.  Our parts department is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week for all of your emergencies.

At H & R Agri-Power, we specialize in service excellence.  We are here to meet all of your service needs from lawn and garden to the largest farm equipment.  We have 45+ trained service technicians, 8 drivers, set up specialist, detail specialist and 10 service management employees to serve you between our 6 locations.  Our qualified technicians are sent each year to specialized training to stay up to date on the newest technology available.  We have 33 service trucks ready to go “fix it” on the farm.
